For an event like Australia’s Rugby League State of Origin, more than State pride was at stake. Powerade needed to cut through – it was time to choose a side.
Using a voting mechanic and motion sensing tech, users leaned left or right to support their side. As a reward they received a red or blue bottle to match their team colours; turning Powerade’s distinctive flavours into must-have merch.
The cooler was an overwhelming success, with the cooler tech rolled out over numerous brands within the CCA stable. For our efforts, Coca-Cola Amatil named us Supplier of the Year.
When it comes to pride, team colours are everything.

The Powerade Cooler was a true innovator, and one of the first interactive coolers in market. Translucent door screens allowed the team to overlay animated, interactive content over Powerade’s thirst quenching drinks, while additional screens either side of the cooler provided space for further connected messaging to be displayed.
